Here is a drawing I did a few weeks ago.
I loved how it turned out. :)

Yesterday my cousin showed me a little bit about photoshop.
So I decided to color and experiment with a drawing I did a while ago.
(which i'm sure is posted somewhere on here...)
So this is how it turned out!
Photoshop is more complicated than I thought,
but I thought I did a better job than I thought I would!

And now I really really really want photoshop..... ;)

An Old-fashion Winter

Yes yes, it has been a while. I know.
I just don't have much time to draw with all this silly homework...and work.
But everyonce in a while I will get a chance to sit down and sketch a little something.
Like the other day, I drew this little drawing.
Only took me around 2 hours to do, but it turned out really nice.
I wanted to draw something old-fashioned, like from Pride and Prejudice or something.
And then I added mittens and snow flakes, so it turned into an old-fashioned winter.
So yeah, that is the story behind my thoughts while sketching the drawing.
If it made any sense...yay! If not....I'm not surprised. ;)

You know that book cover I've been working on for a friend?
(look below a few posts)
Well...I'm finished!
I took some of ya'lls advice and added some orange and yellow to the fire to
make it look more!
What do you think?
The photo itself didn't turn out too well...a little dark.
But you get the idea. :)

~Art Lover~

In my last post (which I wrote forever ago!!) I mentioned that I was designing my
class of 2011 t-shirts.
Well, below is how they turned out!
You can't see it, but on the back it has a verse and then the names of all the
girls who graduated with me.
I'm happy with how they turned out. :)
Also, I have been doing Fine Arts in 4-H for 8 years now, but have never gotten anything
higher than a blue ribbon.
This was my last year in 4-H and I wanted to get champion so badly!
The problem was, I didn't know what to draw... and only had a week to work on it!
So I went online and found this very interesting piece of art that someone else had done.
I decided to base my drawing off of that, but add my own sketchy style.
It only took me between 5-7 hours to do, and the judge really seemed to like it,
but I didn't get my hopes up.
On my birthday, I got a text from a friend who was helping out at the fair.
It was a picture of my drawing with a big purple ribbon next to it.
I had gotten Grand Champion! Finally!
It was the best birthday present I could have wished for. :)
What do ya think? It's called "Art Lover".

A Little Special Something

Today I was asked randomly to draw a little cartoon for a book a lady is writing. So...I did.
And she loved it! A drawing of mine printed in a book? Sweet! And what makes me even happier is that my name is "getting out there". I'm getting more and more requests!
Oh, and I came up with the t-shirt and cake logo for my homeschool graduating class. Yay!
It'll be so cool to have a t-shirt with something I designed on it!!!

March/April Artwork

Here are some artwork I have been working on during the months of March and April
As you can see, I have been on a Kim Possible kick. No clue why...but was fun. cute! ;) I actually drew this one just today. Took me about 30 mins total. Probably a new record!
This is the book cover I had mentioned that I was working on for a friend.
It is not done yet, still got to finish her hair and skin.
The blue stuff around her is supposed to be blue fire, but I think it looks like water.
But I have no clue how to make it look more fire-ish.
Any ideas????

Gifts for My Friends

Giving makes me happy.
In the past month I have given away 4 drawings.
This one was a Valentines gift for my friend Katelyn.
She said that she wanted something that had to do with Paris
so it would go with her room.
Automatically the first thing that came to mind was the Eiffel Tower...
then I drew the girl just for fun and the balloons just kinda popped in there.
I like how the red is the only source of color in this picture though.
Very classy.
Love ya Katelyn!
This drawing was a Valentines gift for my friend Emily.
Can you guess which movie it's from?
Emily loves that movie and wanted me to draw something from it.
The scene I drew isn't from the movie, I came up with it in my head.
I thought it would be cute having both guys "whoo" her in their own ways,
and having her in the middle looking a little indecisive.
The prince was my favorite part to draw...don't you love those puff sleeves?
The hardest part to draw was absolutely Giselle's beautiful dress.
So difficult!
Love ya Emily!
This was a Valentines gift to my friend Beth. She wanted a picture of Rapunzel from Tangled with her hair in that huge pretty braid
she had for part of the movie.
It was definetly a challenge!
But I am pleased with the result.
I also experimented with my background drawing abilities.
As you can tell with my other drawings, I don't do backgrounds very often.
But this drawing looked silly with just her standing by herself on a white piece of paper, all alone!
Love ya Beth!
I drew this for my friend Alex's birthday. I asked his girlfriend what he liked (cause i don't really know him too well) and she said that he absolutely loves Harry Potter. Now I'm not really into the Harry Potter craze, but I thought it would be fun to give Mr. Potter a try. I love how it turned out! Though it is sad that I had to let these pieces of art go, I know they are in good hands. ;p I hope to continue making people smile with my art and mabye one day, actually make some cash! Tell me what you think! *Ash*

Roaming Around Town

Just some photos I took while walking downtown on a beautiful warm day.

So cool how I already have requests!
Beth and Rae requested that I draw Rapunzel next.
So here it is!
(I added Flynn as a bonus. YAY!!)
Not the best one ever but... it turned out ok. :)
Any advice?

Pictures- Jan/Feb 2011

Just some pictures I've taken over the past two months.
Please do not use any of my pictures or drawings without my permission.
Thanks. :)

Something New

Hello all.
I finally had time to draw some more.
Only two for now though.
But I have a surprise for ya'll.
I am trying a new style of drawing!
I like manga and all, but you can only do so much with it.
I wanted to do something a little more realistic.
So, I've been practicing.
(this person right here is who i am practicing with.... she is amazing.)
Warning though! If you look at her drawings, mine will look like crap.
Just sayin.
With this one I was just drawing, not really knowing what.
It turned out to look like a big sister and a little brother having a little stare down.
cute Ash, cute. ;p
With this one I totally used a reference. HERE.
Not as good as hers turned out ok.
Well, watcha think? Please leave a comment. *puppy face*
